Team | Our Story

We met during graduate school while pursuing degrees in biomedical engineering at Duke University. Our collective interest in medical devices and entrepreneurship brought us together to form a team to develop an implantable cooling device to treat epilepsy.  This exciting opportunity led us to compete in several national business plan competitions and provided us with invaluable guidance as well as initial non-dilutive funding to start product development.

Our team is comprised of:

Christina Li – Doctoral candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University.

Heidi Koschwanez – PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (matriculated 2009).

John Stroncek – Doctoral student in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University.

Carolyn Nohejl – Dual Masters degree student in Biomedical Engineering and Business Administration at Duke University.
